SilverSneakers Fitness Program targets the senior adult and includes a variety of group exercise classes appropriate for individuals who are fit and active as well as those who are sedentary, intimidated or unfamiliar with exercise. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.

The MSRom classes utilize hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, fitness balls for resistance, and chairs are used for seated and standing support.

The Cardio Circuit (Low Impact) classes offer a more challenging workout to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength is achieved with resistance tools and is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. Chairs are offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.

Melodie is a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. She has been teaching group fitness classes for over 20 years and her certifications include Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Yoga Instructor, Pilates, SilverSneakers MSRom, Cardio Circuit, Silver Splash and Yoga Stretch.

She hopes that she can be an inspiration to others and to encourage them to make a personal life-time commitment to keep exercising.
